[Neponset, IL] – A new heavy-duty pre-cleaner from Martin Engineering has been engineered and designed specifically for challenging conveyor applications.  The MARTIN® QC™ #1 Heavy-Duty Max Pre-Cleaner effectively removes material from the belt and is tough enough to handle harsh conditions without compromise or overkill.  The Quick Change (QC) Heavy Duty pre-cleaner features a unique blade profile, one-piece mainframe and the MARTIN® XHD Spring Tensioner.  An optional segmented blade is available for crowned head pulleys.

The MARTIN® QC™ #1 Heavy-Duty Max Pre-Cleaner removes carryback and helps lower clean-up / maintenance costs, while reducing conveyor / component damage and minimizing safety hazards.  Suitable for belt speeds up to 1,200 fpm (6 m/sec), belt widths from 24-84 in. (609 – 2,133 mm) and head pulleys from 16-30 in. (400-800 mm), the new pre-cleaner blades are available in sizes 6- or 12- inches minus the belt width to accommodate different loading patterns and carrying capacities. The new cleaner also features common mounting dimensions for easy retrofit or upgrade.  Specific launch dates of this new product may vary slightly, depending on the country / region.
