[Neponset, IL] – With a focus on simplicity and straightforward design, a world leader in bulk materials handling has launched a far-side conveyor mount to help ensure that maintenance of hard-to-reach secondary belt cleaners is fast, simple and safe.

The MARTIN® Far-Side Mount simplifies maintenance by providing a quick and easy method for adjusting secondary belt cleaners in locations with limited access.  To improve maintenance safety, engineers designed the mount so workers are able to make adjustments from one side of the conveyor, avoiding the need to climb over belts or rely on other unsafe methods to reach the far side.

The new Far-Side Mount is the only device of its kind to feature mechanical operation (as opposed to pneumatic control).  The design uses miter gears and a right angle drive to maintain a 1:1 tensioning ratio, allowing all tension settings to remain unchanged during service.  The unit comes completely covered and pre-assembled, and the retrofit model allows customers to reuse the existing spindle and tensioning block.  Specific launch dates of this new product may vary slightly, depending on the country / region.
